Del City 2021 linebacker Rejhan Tatum Rejhan Tatum 6'2" | LB Del City | 2021 State OK announced his commitment to Boise State on Sunday afternoon. The Eagle standout picked Boise over two other finalists, Baylor and Oklahoma State. In our Uncommitted Spotlight from Wednesday, we mentioned how Tatum was the top prospect in Oklahoma’s 2021 class that was currently uncommitted. That title now goes to another player.
Out of the three finalists, Boise State would have been our last guess. Baylor was Tatum’s first offer. Oklahoma State is obviously close and Tatum’s teammate Donovan Stephens Donovan Stephens 6'1" | DB Del City | 2021 State OK committed to the Cowboys earlier this month. However, it’s Boise landing the talents of Tatum. Boise put a priority on Tatum and that helped them get Tatum’s commitment.
Tatum is the 28th prospect in Oklahoma’s 2021 class to commit to a D1 program. He’s the third Eagle to commit. We mentioned Stephens to OSU. Defensive lineman Kevin Greene Kevin Greene 6'4" | DL Del City | 2021 State OK is committed to North Texas. Tatum is the lone Boise commit in the state’s senior class. Despite recruiting Oklahoma routinely, the Broncos rarely get commits.
The last player from Oklahoma to commit to Boise State was former Lincoln Christian quarterback Micah Wilson. That commitment would not make it to signing day as Wilson would end up signing with Missouri instead of Boise. Now that Tatum has committed, the Boise coaches will stay active to make sure that commitment ends with Tatum signing on a letter of intent.
