THE SCOOP ON ANDERSON. The one thing about talent in Florida, and college coaches will tell you, the athleticism is simply unmatched.
Just because you are a highly rated prospect at one position, and have performed very well at that position for years, it doesn’t mean that you aren’t viewed by many colleges at another spot.
This is a two-way athlete who is just as effective as a tight end – where he catches, blocks and runs – as he is at the end defensive end spot.
Pursued by a number of major colleges, this quality talent is virtually unblockable coming off the edge, and as he puts on more weight and gets one more season under his belt, you will see him become one of the best around.

THE DEFENSIVE END POSITION IS CROWDED IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA
As gifted as Anderson is – and he is certainly an impact performer – there are other defensive ends, who are athletic and dominating across the state. Check these five talented young men out:
Morani Hopkins, Ocala West Port. Yet another versatile football player in this seniors class. One who not only lines up at the defensive end position, but also impact the offensive line. He is a sure tackler, sheds blockers very well and will continue to play hard until he hears the whistle blow. One of the standout players in this class, keep an eye on his progress this year. Because of his ability to tackle, he lines up inside as well.

Kemari Kelly, Jacksonville Bishop Snyder. Talk about an impact performer, this is yet another football player who lines up at several spots for this football team, using his strength, size, quickness and high IQ to make plays and prevent something big from happening. Just when you think he is being taken out of a play, his athleticism and skill takes over. Solid prospect.

Noah King, St. Augustine. Not the biggest defensive end and not the most athletic, but there are very few who play with the energy this young man does. Before you snap the ball, you had better account for him and know exactly where he is lined up. He makes plays that spark his team. One of those under-the-radar athletes who plays this game hard.

Rene Konga, Clearwater Academy International. At 6-4, 245, he is a two-way (tight end) performer who brings everything to the table as a football prospect. He runs, blocks and catches on offense – and on the defensive side of the ball, his large frame and athletic ability makes it tough for offenses to get anything going. This is truly one of the huge surprises, and he is ready to show everything he can do.

Maxwell Paplin, Lithia Newsome. Yet another of the under-the-radar football players who makes his way over from Strawberry Crest with plenty of talent as a pass-catching tight end, who blocks on offense – on the defensive side of the ball, he uses his quickness and athletic ability to get to plays fast and stops anything big from unfolding. Is also valuable on special teams as well as a blocker up from who also has tremendous hands. He has the opportunity, if he continues to work hard, to make a huge impact in 2020.
