However, PrepRedzoneMN (not me) has heard a report from a couple sources that Tartan star WR/athlete Dorian Singer – PRzMN #8 overall recruit and the holder of 13 scholarship offers – is transferring for his senior year of high school to national powerhouse Pinnacle High School in Phoenix, Arizona. This comes in light of the MSHSL’s vague announcement about fall sports, and his decision to forgo his commitment decision until the fall. Again, this is NOT confirmed, but I wanted to take a chance and see if we can get ahead of this potentially huge decision for Singer, Tartan, and Minnesota prep football.

Unfortunately, Singer is at an unprecedented time to be a high school senior – much less a Division 1 football recruit – and in an article published by Rivals earlier this spring (I unfortunately couldn’t find it to link) the Tartan WR was named on a short list of national recruits who were most negatively affected by COVID-19 and the fact that there were no camps at the regional level. These camps, where polished route-runners like Singer can shine, can garner recruits some rare exposure to P5 recruiters and coaches and there is no chance of rescheduling these while fall inches closer on the horizon. It is also interesting to note that Singer only has one P5 offer – Iowa State, which was his first overall- of his 13 D1 scholarships. With no chance of making up these camps I believe Singer thinks – and rightfully so – that he is talented enough to play football at a nationally competitive program where P5 scouts check out a lot more often. Oklahoma University’s future QB Spencer Rattler went to Pinnacle, and every year they send more than their fair share of recruits into the D1 ranks. IF this news is true, PrepRedzoneMN will make sure to keep you updated on the MN native and his senior season. If I’m just plain wrong I apologize in advance, I’m running a little stir-crazy without sports. Stay tuned! Thanks for reading.
