High On The Hogs: Top Offensive Lineman of Class of 2021
Quarterbacks and running backs get the headlines but the big boys up front protect and create holes for both.
Here is the Top Offensive Lineman in the Kansas Preseason Class of 2021 Top 200.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="35345" first="Noah" last="Bolticoff"], 6’5”, 280, Rose Hill (Ranked No. 4)</strong> – This young man looks like he was born to protect the quarterback’s blindside. He is a solid pass protector with a big frame, and he gets his hands inside the defender. Bolticoff has verbally committed to play at Texas Christian University.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="35349" first="Harlan" last="Obioha"], 6’1”, 300, Hoxie (Ranked No. 8)</strong> – Hoxie is a small school but there is nothing small about Obioha. He can play on the defensive side of the ball. However, with a frame like his, he appears to be a college tackle in the making.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="35370" first="Luke" last="Zegunis"], 5’10”, 225, Olathe West (Ranked No. 29) </strong>– Zegunis is a quick lineman. He can play center, guard and long snaps. He also works hard in the classroom with a 4.3 current GPA.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="35380" first="Rocco" last="Hicks"], 6’4”, 215, Blue Valley West (Ranked No. 39)</strong> – Hicks plays on both sides of the line for Blue Valley West. Regardless of the side, the key to his game his quick first attack and upper body strength. He is better suited to play guard.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="35385" first="Sam" last="Hecht"], 6’4”, 240, Mill Valley (Ranked No. 44)</strong> – Hecht is an excellent pass-blocking tackle. He plays on the left side of the line. He has solid footwork and the offensive line appears to be where he would play in college.
