The problem with national recruiting services is they do not see everyone play. In fact, outside of a pair of shorts and a t-shirt and game film, they actually have no basis to compare prospects. As many of the national analysts had never watched “T-2”, aka Lewis live before his Under Armour Future 50 appearance last January, they all had an opinion how good or average he was, and that remains the problem in today’s recruiting. This is someone who has been an impact performer since he began at Miami Booker T. Washington and then led the Miami Northwestern Bulls to state championships. What Lewis can do on the football field is dominate. He can make plays and alter any offense. He’s done it for two straight years, and will do it once again. As he left Northwestern after the season and went to three-time defending 3A state champion Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna, he is returning to play for the Bulls in 2020.
