In those dreams, you put yourself in a position to throw a winning touchdown, make that decisive catch or come up with that important sack that gives your team that advantage.
For many, reaching a state championship game never comes, so you can understand what is happening at Chaminade-Madonna is not the norm.
When head coach Dameon Jones and his team beat Tallahassee’s Florida High last December, it was the third consecutive state title for this team – and the fourth straight state championship finals the Lions advanced to.
This program is a dynasty among 3A schools, and while there are many challengers standing in the way in 2020, this program is loaded with big time talent and difference makers.
From a trio of University of Miami commits in running back [player_tooltip player_id="32643" first="Thaddius" last="Franklin"] to defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id="32895" first="Allan" last="Haye"] to All-American kicker Andy Borregales, the shelves are fully stocked as this program continues to churn out major college prospects.
Unlike many smaller schools, the Lions run from nobody. They continue to play a challenging schedule that gets them ready for the big stage.
With a mix of veterans and new faces, 2020 could be the year that they extend their magic to four in-a-row. Something straight out of “Holywood”!
