These five players are expected to have expanded roles with their teams this season and are ready to make their mark among the top recruiting lists next year.
Here is a look at the players who round out the top 10 in Southern California in the class of 2022:
Niuafe Tuihalamaka Niuafe Tuihalamaka 6'3" | 240 lbs | LB Bishop Alemany | 2022 State CA , Inside Linebacker, Alemany, Mission Hills
Alemany High has been in the headlines for losing quarterback Miller Moss Miller Moss 6'3" | 200 lbs | QB Bishop Alemany | 2021 State CA to Mater Dei but perhaps it should be in the headlines for its elite junior linebacker. Tuihalamaka led the Warriors in tackles for a loss as a sophomore last season and had double-digit tackles in five games. He is verbally committed to USC.
Raleek Brown Raleek Brown 5'9" | 185 lbs | RB Mater Dei | 2022 State CA , Running Back, Mater Dei, Santa Ana
Brown transferred to Mater Dei from Edison High School in Stockton. He rushed for 996 yards and 16 touchdowns as a sophomore for the Vikings last season. He is also lethal as a receiving option out of the backfield, catching 34 balls for 667 yards and 9 touchdowns. Brown will be the primary running option for Mater Dei this season and has 30 offers with Oklahoma drawing early interest.

Kamari Ramsey Kamari Ramsey 6'1" | 200 lbs | DB Sierra Canyon | 2022 State CA , Athlete, Sierra Canyon, Chatsworth
Ramsey is listed as an athlete on every recruiting board but he is known on the field as a ball-hawk safety. He had four interceptions as a sophomore for Sierra Canyon and returned those interceptions for an average of 30 yards. He holds 13 offers including Arizona State, Colorado and Michigan.
Larry Turner-Gooden Larry Turner-Gooden 6'1" | 190 lbs | ATH Bishop Alemany | 2022 State CA , Athlete, St. Bernard, Playa del Rey
St. Bernard of Playa del Rey landed an obscene amount of transfer stars when former Narbonne coach Manny Douglas took over has head coach, including former Calabasas standout Larry Turner-Gooden Larry Turner-Gooden 6'1" | 190 lbs | ATH Bishop Alemany | 2022 State CA . The 6-foot, 180-pound athlete is a very good receiver and defensive back and will pile up offers during his junior season. He currently holds 26 offers including Alabama.

Jack Pedersen Jack Pedersen 6'4" | 235 lbs | TE Vista Murrieta | 2022 State CA , Tight End, Vista Murrieta, Murrieta
Pedersen is a big body who can do it all in multiple sports. The 6-foot-4, 240 pound junior can block, catch passes and hit the cover off a baseball. He hits baseballs with an exit velocity near 100 miles per hour and is a key part of coach Erik Peterson’s offense on the gridiron. He holds 11 offers to play football and has a 4.0 grade point average.
