Denim Cook Denim Cook 5'9" | 200 lbs | RB St. Teresa | 2022 State IL (St. Teresa HS)- Adequate height, solid weight, and a developed frame. Good acceleration off the snap, coupled with good vision in order to see and hit hole. Maintains vision in hole and shows very good ability to cut off the backside of blocks. Good play strength, both lower and upper body to run through arm tackles and traffic at the LOS. He’s a physical runner at all three levels of the defense, and displays good contact balance. Possesses good speed to power transition on the second and third levels. Solid speed, enough speed to be a chunk runner, but not a home run threat. A very promising player who will get a lot of recognition in 2020.
Gabe Hilliard (Carbondale HS)- Adequate height, solid weight, and slender frame. Very good burst and acceleration off the snap in order to get in and out of holes. Good feet and vision, in order to elude trash at the LOS, and keep eyes up to see next cut. Good speed into the second level, and uses lateral agility to consistently make defenders miss. Shows the ability to get in and out of arm tackles, and possesses sneaky lower half strength. Good hands, a hands catcher who has good transition. Displayed quickness and good COD on his routes to create separation and continued to work throughout the play to get open. A good player, who with added weight as his body continues to develop will start to garner a lot of attention.
Jordan Anderson Jordan Anderson 6'3" | 215 lbs | RB Joliet Catholic | 2022 State IL (Joliet Catholic HS)- Good height, weight, and a developed frame. Very good burst off the snap, coupled with good acceleration to hit the hole with power and speed. Very good play strength both upper and lower body. Shows very good leg drive on contact at all levels, and displays a very good stiff arm. Good contact balance to bounce off defenders with little wasted movement. Along with his power, he possesses good speed to have the ability to bounce around the edge when there is penetration between the tackles. Very good long speed, once into the second and third levels, he has the ability to finish runs with pure speed. A very good player who has all the tools to be a big time running back at the next level.
Jahari Scott Jahari Scott 5'11" | 175 lbs | RB Lake Forest | 2022 State IL (Lake Forest HS)- Good height, adequate weight, and a solid frame. Very good acceleration in and out of hole. Good vision both in Drive and Zone. He has the ability to process and set up blocks with Zone runs, while anticipating where the hole is going to open. Very good speed in the second level, possesses the speed to split defenders and is a home run threat. Solid play strength, shows enough to get through arm tackles, but isn’t going to be a big YAC player at this point. Overall, a dynamic player who will continue to grow and develop. He has the tools and traits to be a special player.
