Pueblo West offensive lineman Alex Osborne Alex Osborne 6'5" | OL Pueblo West | 2021 State CO and Coronado WR/DB Darshan Robinson were among the prospects targeted by the Division III program from Decorah, Iowa, within the last few weeks.
Osborne has great size for an offensive lineman at 6-foot-5 and 317 pounds. He has spent time at both guard and tackle, so his versatility playing on the outside and the interior of the offensive line is a plus. He helped anchor the front line for a Pueblo West offense which averaged 203.9 rushing yards, 137.1 passing yards and 32.9 points per game in 2019. Osborne also mentions Carleton College as another school showing interest in him per his Twitter page.
Another player in the Class 4A Pikes Peak League garnering attention from Luther College is Robinson. At 5-foot-9, he plays as an outside receiver in many formations and shows an ability to look catches into his hands and an ability to run after the catch. Robinson also played in the secondary and on special teams for Coronado and is back to work preparing for his senior season.
The state of Colorado has been a target for Luther College over the years and the program has brought in a handful of prospects with each recruiting class. Per the team’s Twitter page, they welcome four prospects from the class of 2020 in Colorado to campus this fall, including Westminster quarterback Romeo Rodriguez, Legend offensive lineman Bryson Miller, Ponderosa kicker/punter Thane Larson and Arvada West linebacker Jonathan Lundeby.
