With these commitments and visits being reported, Northstar Football News is going in-depth to reveal which of Minnesota’s high school program’s hold some of the deepest and most talented recruiting classes in the state. Over the coming weeks NFN will feature teams from all around the Land of 10,000 Lakes who showed themselves to be the hottest stops on the recruiting trail for either the 2020 recruiting cycle or the upcoming 2021 one. This second edition to the series will take us North of Minneapolis a short 20 minutes to Fridley, where 6A powerhouse the Totino-Grace Eagles call home. The 10x state champions opted to move up from Class AAAA to AAAAA in 2011, and won a big-school state championship in 2016 under legendary – and now retired – coach Jeff Ferguson, the 8th championship of his career. Although Ferguson is gone, the Eagles talent is still very much present, and in this “MN Recruiting Hotbed” report we will highlight and examine the wealth of prep talent in the c/o ‘21 recruiting class. Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy!
