The 6’2, 180 lb. wideout is the younger brother of Gophers freshman QB and fellow EP graduate and is in my mind one of the top wide receivers in the state of Minnesota going into the 2020 season.
Snag.A terrific athlete who excels in contested catches and high-pointing the football, Kramer is so dangerous as a WR that EP has opted to throw the ball more than we’ve seen maybe in the whole 2010’s and is the best athlete on their roster currently. The junior was kind enough to give me some of his time and answer some of Northstar Football News’ questions in regards to EP’s “down year” in ’19, his D1 potential, and how he’d feel playing with his brother again at the U of M. Enjoy! Cade Kramer Junior Season
Kramer: ” I have lived in Eden Prairie for my whole life and some things people might know about me is I played hockey until 7th grade. Something I like about playing football is once I get on the field everything else gets off my mind and I feel so free. I am 6’2” 180 squat 375 bench 210. Our season this year didn’t go as wanted but I had such a great time with all my friends on the team seeing each other every day and doing the thing I love most. My offseason for sure consists of getting stronger and getting more explosive and faster and then of course route running catching etc. Playing for Eden Prairie is the best everything about it from the traditions to the coaching staff and to the community I love everything about it. I would say a big reason to most of my contested and catching high pointed balls would be all the catches I have caught from my brother. I have probably caught a million balls from him since we were young up until now. Some schools I am talking to right now is Minnesota, South Dakota State, Iowa State, and North Dakota State. I am going down to South Dakota State in the winter/spring and plan on going to other schools around that time. Also I am for sure going to many camps this spring. The U would be awesome, but I am interested in the other schools I am getting recruited by just as much. I am interested in FBS and FCS, and have also been contacted by Iowa.”
This won’t be the last you hear of Mr. Kramer!
