We chatted with Carlton about what went into his commitment, what he’ll need to work on, and much more.
Choosing Concordia-St. Paul
Carlton said his decision to go to the Golden Bears was more than just committing to football. Carlton told us he “felt at home” and the connection to god were key reasons Concordia-St. Paul stood out to him. The moment he was offered a spot on the football team next year, Carlton called it a “dream come true” and made his decision to committing to the Golden Bears very easy.
CSP Was the Clear Cut Favorite
With no other programs in the rearview mirror, Carlton also fell in love with Concordia-St. Paul’s business program as he looks to pursue a business management degree in college. Carlton also said the opportunities to lead youth groups were a big reason why he chose the Golden Bears in the end.
Biggest Adjustment to College Football
Carlton said the elevation of his game is what will need to be worked on the most at the college level. “With so many things changing in the transition from high school to college, I need to be at the top of my game and make the leap to grind it out for seasons to come,” he told Northstar Football News about the high school vs. college football transition he’s making.
Biggest Impact on Caleb’s Decision to CSP
Caleb said his mom and dad had a huge impact on him choosing CSP. “We all fell in love during our game day visit,” He told NFN. He said it also helps that two teammates from Park High School, Ian Miller, and both committed to Concordia-St. Paul before he did, and he looks forward to “continuing the brotherhood” with those guys for the next four years.
