What they see is a big bodied tackle at 6'8″ 275 lbs that can move people pretty easily, and more importantly, has a motor that goes through the whistle.
He's going to be raw as last year was his first year of varsity, but the ceiling is there for Oppedal to quickly rise through the ranks to one of the top offensive tackles in Minnesota.
