I have the ability to see the hole before it is created, which helps me anticipate where to run. This past season went well for us as a team, however we have a lot of unfinished business. Losing to Mankato West in the Section Finals was a heartbreaker for us, so we have used that as motivation this off-season. Individually, I had a pretty good year. I led my team in rushing touchdowns with 14 and was all district honorable mention.”
Odanga has large ambitions for he and Chanhassen in 2017/
“This off-season I have been working with our strength and conditioning coach, improving my overall strength and flexibility,” Odanga explained to Northstar Football. “I also run on the varsity track team as the lead off on the 4×1 and 4×2 while also running the 100m dash. My only individual goal is to lead my team to a state championship. I believe that if we are able to go that far, all of the other accolades and accomplishments would come with it. As a team, we want to improve upon last years season. Even though we went 9-1, we still consider last season a failure. Besides state, our other main goal is to beat Chaska and keep the jug at Chanhassen High School.”
